Well, it’s finally here, which means I finally did it. I set up a blog.
My name is Jeff Fincher, I live in the DFW area of Texas. As far as online personas, I have a few, which could be important considering the bulk of intentional material for this blog. Suffice to say, you may call me “Swift.” But we are now left with the question of why the intended material would be pertinent to online personas.
The topics I hope to focus on in this blog are vast, yet narrow. Essentially, comics (both printed media and online format) and MMORPGs are the focus, with insight and information in regards to my own creation: Eternal Fantasy, a webcomic in the fantasy genre that revolves largely, at least at first, around an MMO until the plot deviates into new plots and arcs.
Eternal Fantasy, however, is currently on hold. My artist hasn’t been in the swing of drawing for a couple of years and life has kept me from focusing on this (along with my own laziness). I’ve decided it’s time to refocus. I’m working on a synopsis submission for a comic publisher, but either with my original or a new artist, I may return the story to the online medium. Time will tell.
For the time being, I intend to spend the majority of this blog focused mostly on World of Warcraft, though I say “MMOs” because the views I will be taking on World of Warcraft will be exploratory in how Blizzard could improve the game, which will draw on implemented features and ideas inspired from other MMOs as well as original ideas that could simply be used in any MMO.
It is possible I’ll deviate from time to time into non-MMO video games or even a movie review now and then, but you can trust that comics and MMOs will always be center stage here.
